Star Pediatric Home Care strongly believes in continuing education and training. After a nurse completes two interviews, an exam, and the reference check process, they attend ‘StarEd’, which is our pediatric home care review course. Each nurse must successfully demonstrate their skills with the experienced instructor. Once they have satisfactorily completed the program, they are assigned to a preceptorship, where they exhibit their proficiency in all aspects of care.

When a nurse is assigned to a new patient, she/he is thoroughly oriented at the patient’s home by a primary nurse and the clinical manager. The Clinical Managers are always available to answer any questions and visit each patient monthly and/or as frequently as necessary to review the patient’s progress, any changes to treatments or medications, address parents’ concerns, etc.
